Showing
"Iram" Best in Breed Cacib Cac
As i have not said before within this website but showing is not really my cup of tea! however everyone to thier own, i really can't
say much about the subject as i am not very knowledgable about it, but owning a dual champion [show & trial] dose appeal to me
so maybe i will try to acheive this with Iram as he is already half way there,i am not sure as yet.One thing i can say is that dogs
bred for conformation and looks without compromising hunting abiliaty can only improve the breed.
I feel that although the show people are really only interested in breed standards the hunting abiliaty should never be
overlooked in the same context hunters should not disregard breed standard when breeding. In Hungary working and showing
go along-side each other, with most breeders proud that their dogs are as good in the field as they are in the ring and feel it is very
important that because the breed is so young both aspects are as crutial as each other and should never be ignored.I have been
in the shooting fraternity for forty years and have seen many changes within the traditional working breeds, dogs like the cocker
nearly vanished from the field because of gun shy breeding, Labs with bad hips, Springers with bad eyes the list just goes on.
Because this breed is still young it has a chance not only to survive but to improve, but it will only happen with careful breeding.
Our first Falcongreen Star

Qualification
European Championship Dog Show Zagreb 2007
On 7th 8th and 9th of june in Zagreb Croatia 10,400 dogs entered the 2007 European dog show with our Iram being one of them,
his first challenge was to do well in his own breed class which he duly won. His next task was to compete against all the other
Wirehaireds from across Europe for best in breed which again he duly won, this enabled him to compete in the best in group, all
the other winning best in breed gundogs at the competition most being champions of thier own countrys, surely he could not win
it as no other Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla has ever gone Best in group in a European Championship !!! how wrong was i he won
becoming the first and only Wirehair ever to win this prestigious title. The following day saw Iram competing in the best in show,
sadly he was not placed but being in the last 10 of 10,400 aint bad !!!!!!!! We would like to give special thanks to Zsofia Miczek who
bred and showed Iram for us, it is all due to her hard work that he has gone as far as he has today and without her his
accomplishments may not be so great.

European Championship Dog Show Budapest 2008
Iram winning Open Dog,Best Dog,Best in Breed,Best in Group "Euro dog show Zagreb 2007"
& WHV Klub show Budapest Hungary 2008
It was well worth the 2,000 mile round trip as
again its another step forward in making Iram a
true Champion. We return to Hungary in the
spring to compete in a field / water trial, he needs
to score 75% of the total points to go towards his
Hungarian & International full Champion title
which i feel he thoroughly deserves.
We had a great time at the Euro's again although Iram was not so successful as last time he was still Open Dog Winner [cac] and
Best Dog[cacib] with diploma and graded "Excellent"which we was very pleased with, this was his final show qualification
needed to become a full Hungarian and International Champion.

Many people have wondered why we have not
shown Iram very much in the uk,and it's simply
because we feel it was very important for iram to
become champion of his native country and
internationaly before we concentrated on the UK.
Competition on the continent is very high for
example 57 dogs entered the Euro dog show from
countrys as far away as Russia and Finland with
many being Champion's of their own countrys.
